Our Vacation
We had an absolutely wonderful trip! Turtle Bay resort is beautiful, gracious, and very comfortable. I had tried calling them directly about upgrading from the 2 suites you had booked to the suite you and I looked at with the connecting living room. And as you were told, I was also told that was not available. However, when we arrived – and it is a little bit of a drive, especially with tired and restless kids – they did not have the suites we had booked available and had upgraded us, at no additional expense, to the connecting suite we were wanting originally. I will try to attach some pictures, but the rooms are very comfortable, contemporary and updated. We were on the top floor out on the very end of the wing that projects out on the point. There are multiple dinning options on-site and the guys enjoyed 2 rounds of golf.
Thanksgiving was a perfect time to be there – no crowds at all and the weather was awesome! There were times we were walking along the shore to the west of the hotel and we would be the only ones in site – the entire length of the bay. The swimming beach on the east side of the hotel always had people there, but never felt crowded! We enjoyed a day at Pearl Harbor with dinner on Waikiki. We also went hiking to Wiamea (?) Falls on Thanksgiving day. I would not only highly recommend the Turtle Bay Resort to anyone, I would definitely enjoy going back there myself! It was so relaxing. The flights and car rental went perfectly and the hotel you booked for us at SeaTac for the park & stay was very nice and again we would request staying there again. As a matter of fact, Bud & Gloria are flying back to Minnesota in May and are staying there again. You did a great job for us Sandy and it was exactly what we were looking for! We will need to start planning our next trip – we want to take Todd’s parents on a whale watching cruise to Alaska.
